Curitor

A cabinet of wonders.

We make the
instruments.
And we
play them.

Curitor is a small independent house for creative software. We build instruments other people make things with — and we use them ourselves, because a toolmaker who has never shipped anything is guessing. Two objects in the cabinet so far, and we would rather show you that honestly than pad the shelves.

The Work

Two objects,
and both are real.

One you can be playing in about four seconds. One is still being built, and its page says exactly how far along it is. There is no third that we are being vague about — the shelves behind these two are empty, and we would rather show you the empty shelf.

Street Value

An empire that runs while you are not looking.

A browser idle game about building something in a city that is paying attention. Production lines you plan, crew you hire by the week, a market other players are trading on, and a story that unlocks by playing rather than by paying. It keeps running while the tab is shut, and tells you what happened when you come back.

Street Value — the city of Eastport, with its districts and open places
  • A city, generatedSomewhere with corners you have not looked around.
  • The lineEvery job, and what feeds it.
  • The floorA market with other people actually on it.
  • While you were awayThe part that happens without you.
  • VisibleThe city is paying attention.

Party Core Kit

Party games, without the netcode tax.

A Unity toolkit for co-op and party games: movement that feels right, multiplayer that works, rounds that start and end, and gameplay you compose from conditions and instructions instead of writing from scratch. It is being built in the open, and it is not finished.

  • MovementThe part players feel before they think.
  • Online & Co-opThe part that quietly ruins schedules.
  • RoundsA match that starts, ends, and starts again.
  • Low-CodeCompose the game. Do not rewrite the engine.
  • BotsEmpty seats fill themselves.

The Premise

The cabinet is
nearly empty.

A cabinet of curiosities is never finished. It is filled one object at a time, by someone who kept looking. What connects the things inside it is not category or theme — it is the hand that gathered them, and the reason it reached out.

Curitor is new. There is one object under glass, and a great deal of empty shelf. We could dress that up. We would rather you knew exactly what you are looking at — a house that has decided what it is for, and has begun.

How We Work

Four things that
do not bend.

  1. 01

We make instruments, and we play them

Most of what we ship is scaffolding for somebody else to build on: the tool is ours, the thing you make with it is yours, and it should not look like ours. But we also finish things — and we would rather find the splinters in our own hands than in yours.

  2. 02

    Every piece stands alone

Nothing here assumes anything else here. Take the part you need and leave the rest on the shelf. A house should never charge admission to the whole cabinet for one object.

  3. 03

    No black boxes

Full source, real documentation, no locked internals. If you cannot see how it works, you cannot make it yours — and making it yours was the entire point.

  4. 04

    Small on purpose

Curitor is one person and a long attention span. That is a constraint, and it is also the reason the details get looked at twice.
